The service was horrible (inexperienced & rude). Food was bad and took forever to get; one guy waited 1.5 hours to be fed! Will NEVER return; too many better places a stone's throw away.

I went to Maxwells to watch a packed 2004 Cal Vs. S.J. Stanley Playoff (game 4!),Have a beer with good friends. At 31,I was asked halfway through the game to leave immediately,I had not brought my ID!Bring ID!Even with grey hair! The 23 year old waitress will ruin your Stanley Cup otherwise(smiling)..good on ya Max's!So much for good sports!

I used to love going to Maxwell's Plum as well as the rest of my co workers, but now no one will even cross the street to eat there. Everyone suffered from sort of indigestion from having lunch at this pub. The food is horribly over cooked, greasy, bad cuts of meat, over spiced, (I won't forget peppercorn steak for a while). The staff is friendly and the place is clean, but for love of God do something about the food.

Yeah, the Plum is in Halifax...not Dartmouth.

I was at a Maxwell's Plum, but in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Excellent service, entertainment (2 piece) fast foods fast and some late hours. Would reccommend to anybody wh likes down home music, lots of laughs (by band)close to harbour and hotels.
