I had one of these, called the Metropolitan Artist's Martini, at the Met Museum in Manhattan Friday night. It knocked my socks off, and Saturday I dashed out to buy the [expensive] ingredients. Thanks to BarMeister, I now have the proportions. Does anyone know why absinthe is suddenly available after decades of being banned. I understand that what is being sold is a lower proof, but I am unaware of the history and mystique of the drink. Thanks!
