If you pour the lime juice and grenadine at the same time in a clockwise direction it cuts down on the potency of the whiskey. The only similarity I can make with what this drink tasted like would be that it loosely tasted like that cinnaburst gum. On a side note I've seen a few women from Kentucky in real life and they were hotter than what the stereotype says.
