Drinking Game: "Drinkopoly" Add to My Games
Number of Players:
  • This game is four
Materials:
  • Deck of cards
  • Paper
  • Pen or pencil
Preparation:
  • Shuffle the deck with the aces left out
  • Spread the remaining cards out in the center of the table face down
  • Aces will then be dealt randomly to four players and turned face-up in front of them (spades will go first and play will continue to his left)
Gameplay:
  • The first player will draw a card from the center of the table after taking a single drink and only show it to themself. If the card matches the suit of the player he will turn it over and hand out the number of drinks the card represents (a two would be two drinks, jacks will be eleven drinks, and so on and so forth)
  • However, if the card doesn’t match the suit of the player who drew it the card will then be “for sale”. The auction process will begin with the player on the left of the player possessing the card. The auction will continue until no one wishes to outbid (wager a higher number of drinks) the current high bidder. The card will then be passed to the winning bidder after wagered drinks have been drunk. The winning bidder will then either flip it over and assign drinks (if it matches his suit) or place it back into the pile without revealing the suit to the remaining two players (if the suits don’t match).
  • Play will continue until one player has collected a “drinkopoly” (a player possesses all thirteen of his suited cards face-up in front of him). The winning player will then watch as all other players crack a new beer and drink it without allowing the beer can to leave their lips. Failure to adhere to this rule will cause for another beer to be opened and drank by violating player.
  • The winning player may make-up a rule to govern the next round of play as well as bask in the glory of his victory. He also gets to choose his suit of ace and go first in the following game.

Special rules for gameplay:
  • When a player has either drawn or successfully purchased the king of his/her suit in an auction and it is face-up in front of him/her that player will subtract half the drinks from all the drinks that are given to him/her, or bid in auctions for the remainder of the game. Half drinks are rounded up to the nearest drink
  • When a player has either drawn or successfully purchased the queen of his/her suit in an auction and it is face-up in front of him/her that player will what player will become “beer bitch”. This means that the player will either have to fetch all drinks that are needed (at a home game) until another “beer bitch” has been designated (another queen has been found) or purchase one round of drinks (if you’re playing in a bar) for everyone playing in the game.
  • When a player has either drawn or successfully purchased the jack of his/her suit in an auction and it is face-up in front of him/her that player will no longer have to take a drink prior to pulling of a card on their turn for the remainder of the game.
  • When a player has either drawn or successfully purchased the seven of his/her suit in an auction and it is face-up in front of him/her that player is allowed to skip another player’s turn. Prior to the player’s turn the holder of their seven may announce that they will skip another player’s turn and play will continue with the next player on the left. This can only be done once so use it wisely!
  • When a player has either drawn or successfully purchased the four of his/her suit in an auction and it is face-up in front of him/her all players participating in the game will take part in a “social” of one drink.
  • When a player has either drawn or successfully purchased the two of his/her suit in an auction and it is face-up in front of him/her that player will be able to take a “freebie”. Meaning that they may option out of one assigned set of drinks or wager in an auction and not have to drink them. This can only be done once so use it wisely!
